Solar + Energy Storage Engineer
I've spent the last ten years working across almost every part of the solar industry. I've sold solar and EVs, surveyed systems, designed PV systems, worked through permitting and inspections, supported electrical test equipment, and now troubleshoot solar and battery systems for installers across the Americas.
My career started at Tesla, where I got to experience several different sides of both EVs and solar. I started on the customer side, moved into site surveying, and later worked directly with building departments and inspectors to get Solar Roof, traditional solar, Powerwall, and EV charger installations through permitting, code review, and inspection.
From there, I moved into residential PV system design at Sunrun, then joined Fluke, where I helped support its solar PV, electrical, and EV test and measurement equipment. Today, I'm at Tigo Energy supporting residential and commercial solar and energy storage systems across the Americas, troubleshooting inverters, batteries, module-level power electronics, rapid shutdown, communications, and system-level issues.
Having worked across so much of the solar lifecycle gives me a different perspective on the systems I support today. I've sold them, surveyed them, designed them, permitted them, inspected them, tested them, and troubleshot them. I understand what a system is supposed to look like on paper, but also what happens once all of those components have to work together as one complete solar and battery system.
I'm a NABCEP PV Associate and a native bilingual English and Spanish speaker.
Solar and batteries are where I want to keep growing. I believe energy storage is becoming just as important as solar itself. Solar gives us the ability to generate our own energy, and batteries give us more control over when and how we use it. Together, they can provide backup power, greater energy independence, and a more resilient electrical system.
Outside of work, technology has always been a big part of who I am. I'm into consumer tech, EVs, drones, aviation, rockets, computers, and anything that makes me curious about how it works. I'm always learning something new, trying new technology, or figuring out how something works.
